Welcome back to another what’s new! Today, we visited the Disney resorts that are on the monorail loop!
While looking for the latest food, construction, and merchandise, we found some new holiday treats, an old favorite, and some transportation updates. So, let’s get started!
Food Updates
Disney’s Polynesian Resort
In the Polynesian’s gift shop, Boutiki, we spotted the Honolulu Cookies back in stock! This is the first time they have been back in store since July!
A Cast Member told us these cookies are so popular that they get asked about them almost every day. These are some of the most delicious shortbread cookies we’ve ever had and we are so glad they are back!
These cookies come in a variety of packaging, including these beautiful tins!
We are thrilled to have these back!

Over at the quick-service spot, Captain Cook’s, we saw a few familiar favorites like the Mike cake and the Moana cake. We did notice that the Rocky Road Cupcake got an updated fall look!
We thought the new decor was a perfect way to celebrate fall! We especially love the Mickey in frosting.
Christmas may be making its way into the parks, but we still love a good autumn treat.
Here’s our review on the updated Rocky Road Cupcake
At the Barefoot Pool Bar, we recently found an adorable coconut cup! And now, this little guy gets its own specialty drink, the Moku Niu. You are still able to get it with any drink you choose, but now there is a specialty option to go with it!
Although Holiday Glow Cubes are not on the menu here yet, we were able to snag one for our refreshing drink.
This drink brought us right to a tropical island, and we are here for it! You can grab the Moku Niu and the coconut for $21 and the holiday glow cube for $4.69.

Disney’s Contemporary Resort
In Disney’s Contemporary Resort, we passed by Contempo Cafe to check out any new menu items. We found the holiday cookies at this location! First up is the Gingerbread Cookie for $6.25.
We also saw the Mickey Linzer Cookie available for $6.50.
Plus, we tried the Chocolate Peppermint Cookie for $5.50.
Some of these goodies were sold at the gingerbread displays last year, but now they are available at the Contempo Cafe!
We tried all three cookies! Here’s what we thought
Over in the Bayview Gift Shop, we found several new holiday treats!
We tried the returning Eggnog Fudge, the Gingerbread Mickey Cookie, the Mickey Santa Caramel Apple, and the Holiday Red Velvet Cupcake. We were surprised to see so many holiday treats at this location but we are not complaining!

Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
At Wilderness Lodge, not much was new since our last visit. However, we got to try the Thanksgiving Cupcake now available at Roaring Fork!
Our favorite part of the cupcake was the caramel filling on the inside. A delightful fall treat!

Construction Updates
Polynesian Resort
The Polynesian Resort is currently under construction as they do a Moana themed revamp to the resort. Because of this, the monorail no longer stops at the Polynesian.
However, with the monorail no longer an option, the boats that run from the resorts to Magic Kingdom now stop at the Polynesian! While the monorail closure is temporary it is nice to have another mode of transportation to get to the parks.

Merchandise Updates
Polynesian Resort
Not only did we spot the beloved Honolulu Cookies in Boutiki at Disney’s Polynesian Resort, but we also found a special holiday pin. This one features one of our favorite sidekicks, Hei Hei!
You can spot this little one in a holiday wreath that says the Polynesian Village Resort. Hei Hei is just too cute!
You can add this to your pin collection for $17.99.
Check out this MagicBand featuring a Hei Hei Cone
Contemporary Resort
At Bayview Gifts in the Contemporary Resort, we spotted a bunch of new holiday pins! We spotted characters like Mickey, Sleeping Beauty, Tiana, and Ariel inside a holiday wreath.
These are all limited edition so pin collectors, get your hands on these while you can!
