Despite being in the middle of sunny Florida, theme parks like Disney World and Universal Orlando have tried their best to make the holidays feel like how they appear in the movies.
From faux snow-covered roofs in Hogsmeade to snoap in Disney Springs, each park has its own tricks to add a wintry feel. But now, it looks like Mother Nature might lend a hand!
While we aren’t saying there will be a snowstorm in Orlando (one could only hope!), meteorologists are predicting that Central Florida will see a strong cold front beginning early next week. An arctic blast is on its way, and with it below freezing temperatures will likely occur. Brr!
Currently, this arctic blast is working its way East all the way from Siberia and will cross over Alaska and through the center of the United States to land down the East Coast. Meteorologists say that by next Thursday, December 22nd, this cold front will arrive in Florida.
Up until now, it’s been pretty warm in Disney World. Many might welcome the lower temps, while others who enjoy living in the state because of its warm climate could be upset with the unwelcome frosty air. Either way, this cold front will be hitting hardest on Christmas Eve, so it’s planned its entrance perfectly!
If you will be in the parks this week, make sure to pack warm clothes, enjoy the cooler temps, and stay safe. Keep an eye on our site for more Disney World updates!
