Disney is much more than just theme parks and movies — they work on a LOT of other projects all around the world!
Disney recently announced that they would be relocating about 2,000 employees to Lake Nona in Orlando, as it is becoming a popular area. Today, let’s take a look at a new potential real estate project involving Disney!
Disney and Lake Nona developer Tavistock are in talks to work on a new age-restricted community southeast of Orlando, the Orlando Business Journal reports. The creation of a new age-restricted community to facilitate retirement and elder care in Orlando would be great for Disney World and for the Orlando community, which is expected to see a boom in its elderly population in the next decade.
Disney and Tavistock did not release any additional information about the size or timeline for this new community, as representatives were not available for comment. The project has not been confirmed as of now.
Disney has been making some major investments in Orlando lately, especially considering the fact they’re relocating thousands of jobs to Florida. We’re always keeping up with the latest Disney news and we’ll keep you updated as this story evolves!
